CoPPA WEST MIDLANDS - NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS ELECTION
There is an opportunity to become more involved with CoPPA West Midlands. Nageena Khalique QC will be stepping down from her role as Chair. On behalf of CoPPA West Midlands we thank Nageena for her fantastic contribution to establishing the Regional Association and all of her work. The role of Chair will therefore be available. The roles of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Social media officer and being a member of the Committee are the offices to which you can seek appointment. The existing committee members are eligible for re-election.
We hold at least 6 Regional Committee Meetings each year and there is an expectation that every effort will be made to attend (this can be by telephone). Each Regional Committee Member will be expected to play an active role in developing, managing and administering CoPPA West Midlands. This does require a commitment of time.
Anyone who would like to be appointed to a role will need to be a CoPPA member from 1 November 2020.
The roles are open to both legal and non-legal CoPPA members who are based in the region.
All existing committee members who wish to be reappointed and any new candidates are to submit an expression of interest together with a short statement (500 words max) as to why they should be appointed to the role by 21 October 2020 to Nageena Khalique by email at NKhaliqueQC@serjeantsinn.com
If there is more than one candidate for the role, or the number of committee members exceeds the number of positions on the Committee then it will be put to a vote of CoPPA West Midlands members. Further details regarding the vote will be circulated.
Voting will close by 12 noon on 29 October 2020, with the successful candidates announced on 30 October 2020.
